We are currently recruiting for Senior Project Managers to join our innovative team! You don’t need to come from an insurance background, but if you have demonstrable project management experience delivering business and technology transformation, integration/data migration and regulatory change projects in large, complex organisations, then we would love to hear from you!
This role could be ideal for you if you have experience of working through the early lifecycle of projects; navigating ambiguity, clarifying outcomes/benefits and translating these into deliverables. You’ll also have experience in vendor selection through RFP processes and evidence strong communication and collaboration skills among project stakeholders.
A bit about the job:
As the Senior Project Manager, you will deliver projects that support Aviva’s strategy through successful embedding of change and continuously improve our customer experience. Along with developing high level and detailed delivery plans, identify and manage dependencies/ risks and provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management.
Minimising risk by identifying delivery and operational risks and develop mitigating strategies, along with leading large internal and external teams and third-party suppliers in a matrix environment, will be required in the role. The role will also include influencing and challenging stakeholders up to C-suite. You will own a budget (up to £5million) and will be responsible for accurate forecasting and monitoring of this.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Experience leading fast paced, complex technology and business change with annual budgets up to £5m
Confident in leading high-profile projects with multiple workstreams through all stages of a project lifecycle
Capable of influencing senior stakeholders to drive the necessary changes at a strategic level, evidencing experience in managing multiple third-party suppliers
Ability to monitor and report on project progress and ensure adherence to project plans, manage changes to the project scope, schedule and project costs using appropriate governance, manage project documentation ensuring proper documentation control
Demonstrable experience in contributing to a wider project community, supporting initiatives to drive efficiency into our change delivery and embodying role model behaviours
