Full time, permanent role

Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

within the Coventry Talking Therapies team, managing and coordinating a supportive and cohesive PWP Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent role as a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within Coventry Talking Therapies, which is run in partnership with Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust and Coventry and Warwickshire MIND.

Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull NHS Talking Therapies service has a strong focus on client experience and outcome as well as staff wellbeing. The service benefits from a robust support structure, with various learning and development opportunities including an in-house CPD programme, whereby full-time staff are allocated 5 study days per year to progress their skills and knowledge.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote working and office-based duties.

This is a full-time role and your responsibilities will include spending one day each week at our Telephone and Referral Centre, where all referrals are received and processed. Your role will require you to screen some of these referrals for suitability. You will also be required to assess risks on a regular basis and ensure that a management plan is developed whenever risks are identified.

At Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), we deliver a wide range of physical, mental health, learning disability and autism services, and are proud to serve communities across Solihull, Warwickshire and beyond.

We put ‘people at our heart’; this ethos is at the centre of everything we do and how we do it. We care for our staff and colleagues as much as they care for others and offer a wide range of benefits and development opportunities.

These include:

Generous annual leave entitlement which increases during your time with us. Excellent learning and development opportunities, including apprenticeship frameworks, distance learning, internal training, coaching and mentoring, and much more. Salary sacrifice schemes for lease car/vehicle, Cycle to Work, home and electronics, gym membership and more. Discounts with a range of retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues through our Employee Assistance Programme and NHS discount schemes. Wellbeing support, including an in-house counselling service, external helpline and more. Staff networks and support groups.

We’re always on the lookout for people who share our passion for improving the lives and wellbeing of people in our community, as well as our values of compassion, collaboration, excellence, integrity and respect.

You will have experience of working with common mental health problems, be able to provide initial assessments of client need including risk assessment, and deliver a range of evidence-based, high volume, low-intensity psychological interventions based on a self-management model. The range of interventions will include both individual and group work, and candidates must be confident and competent in delivering interventions using a variety of communication mediums such as telephone work, e-consultation, and face-to-face activities.

You must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a team.

You must be willing to travel amongst a variety of venues within the service. #J-18808-Ljbffr
