The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Public Relations Manager to lead our Public Relations (PR) function at PRS for Music. The successful candidate will shape, enhance and maintain the brand and reputation of our organisation.

Responsibilities

As our Senior Public Relations Manager some of your day to day duties will include: Developing and executing targeted PR strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists, media planners and industry stakeholders. Drafting and distributing press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to support our strategic imperatives. Developing and tracking ambitious Key Performance Indicators for campaigns, monitoring media coverage and preparing regular reports on PR activities and results. Planning, coordinating, and executing brand events in partnership with local PR agencies, including joint project launches, media events, and industry conferences. Leading, coaching and developing the Public Relations Manager to deliver against objectives. About you

Core experience in strategic PR planning and campaign launches. Strong experience in crisis comms management. Strong experience of copy-writing for editorial, press, pitches and advertorials, speeches and defensive lines for the business. Experience of creating, launching and monitoring measurable press and marketing campaigns. Experience of cross communication press and communication activations with social teams and the wider communication teams. Technically proficient in Word, Excel and presentation software. Team leadership and the effective management of external agencies. Ability to interact at a senior level within the organisation and with external stakeholders. What’s in it for you?

The Process

Our interview process for this role is simple: First stage interview will take place virtually on MS Teams. Second stage interview will take place in person at our London Bridge Hub. This will include a small task. We use competency-based questions within our interviews. This allows you to provide examples of situations where you have had to demonstrate the required skills relevant to the role you are applying for. To assist your preparation for interview, research the STAR method to aid bringing your examples to life. Location
