The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to build and lead a purchasing department from the ground up, taking ownership of processes, people, and strategy within a thriving, ambitious organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Overhaul and consolidate the purchasing function to improve efficiency and performance. Implement a new purchasing system, ensuring seamless integration with business operations. Recruit, train, and onboard a new purchasing team, developing talent and fostering a high-performing culture. Manage day-to-day operations within the department, ensuring smooth procurement processes. Develop and strengthen supplier relationships to negotiate more competitive commercial terms. Work closely with internal stakeholders to define and refine detailed product specifications. Drive cost savings, efficiency improvements, and supply chain resilience through strategic procurement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a senior purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role. Strong background in system implementation and process improvement. Experience in team management, recruitment, and staff development. A commercially astute negotiator with a track record of securing favourable supplier terms. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to develop detailed product specifications. Industry experience within manufacturing, sports, or related sectors is beneficial but not essential.
