Senior QC Microbiologist Job Description
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months with our global pharmaceutical company based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The Senior QC Microbiologist will provide technical expertise on microbiological topics and test materials/facility for contamination according to specifications and procedures within agreed lead times. Key Responsibilities: Review, evaluate and implement changes to the QC microbiology department in line with current regulatory requirements. Provide training and coaching to team members to strengthen their technical knowledge. Test all materials requiring microbiological testing and take Environmental Monitoring samples according to the monitoring schedule. Qualify and maintain microbiological laboratory equipment and Quality Systems in compliance according to approved procedures. Write SOPs associated with microbiological support. Support internal and external audit process and audit schedules as appropriate. Raise and support Deviations, Investigations and associated CAPA's. Support analytical method transfers, particularly microbiological QC aspects. Your Background: Educated to degree level or above in Microbiology or a related field. Experience in a senior role within a QC Microbiology laboratory. Excellent technical knowledge of Microbiological testing techniques. Demonstrated Knowledge of GMP Guidelines and Regulations. Knowledge of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Quality Systems. Salary:
£ 60000 -£ 80000
per annum, depending on experience.
