About The Role :

The job is based in London where you will as part of Springer Nature's team.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Analyst with expertise in scalable test automation frameworks, Agile methodologies, and manual testing fundamentals.

Candidate must be proficient in any programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, and experienced in developing test automation frameworks using tools like JUnit. Extensive experience in end-to-end testing, including UI, API, and we need a candidate who is proactive, self-driven and the candidate should be able to build good rapport with stakeholders. Candidate should be proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.

Role Responsibilities:

Agile product team, day-to-day you will:
  • Architect, develop, and maintain a robust, extensible automated testing framework for a product.
  • Mentor and guide developers in implementing effective testing practices, enabling increased code contributions without compromising software quality.
  • Own the testing framework's evolution, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adaptability to facilitate the growth of contributors while maintaining high standards of software reliability.
  • Define and communicate best practices, guidelines, and standards for test automation, fostering a culture of quality among contributors to the codebase.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive test suite strategy, emphasising high-value test scenarios to maintain software reliability and quality.
  • Analyse automated test results, collaborate with the team to address shortcomings, and optimize test coverage to uphold the application's reliability.
  • Stay abreast of emerging tools and practices in automated testing, implementing relevant improvements to support increased code contributions without compromising quality.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

B.Sc., BCA, BCS, B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc or a technology-related field or relevant experience.

About You
Must have Skills :


  • Extensive experience as a Senior Quality Analyst, Automation Engineer, or similar role, with expertise in scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Expertise in software testing process and manual testing fundamentals
  • Working experience in Agile methodology (Lean/Kanban/Scrum)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java,Scala, Python,

    JavaScript, React or similar, with a strong understanding of object-oriented

    programming concepts.
  • Proven experience in test automation, including the development of test

    automation frameworks.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., TestCafe, Selenium, Cypress ,JUnit, TestNG, or similar).
  • Proven experience in end-to-end testing, including UI, API, and database testing
  • Strong experience with API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
  • Strong experience in database testing with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, cloud foundry etc)
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good to have :

  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Burp Suite)
  • Certification in relevant testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB).
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE).
