For our people to excel Mace is looking to employ a Quality Assurance engineer to provide technical support to the project team. This will principally relate to quality assurance of the on-site activities, dimensional verification and quality control activities relating to all trades across the whole project. They will be expected to understand the scope of works and the quality assurance activities required to ensure compliant works. They will be responsible for Mace validation checks carried out in conjunction with trade contractor's specific checks. They will be expected to understand the Mace quality management procedure and safety procedures and assist in the implementation of these. To be the Assurance Manager for the project, ensuring that all activity complies with the processes and procedures dictated by the client. Responsibilities:

Support the Senior Leadership Team of 5 BEWC&S in the planning, delivery, monitoring, and commissioning of the programme. Assist the Head of Assurance to ensure compliance with DRDL, CDM 2015 and ONR policies. Oversee the Verification and Quality Assurance Teams in monitoring and assurance of project processes. Conduct relevant Audits to ensure project compliance. Create and deliver the 5 BEWC&S Project Integrated Assurance and Approvals Plan (PIAAP). Lead on the 5 BEWC&S Learning from Experience (LfE) process. Support and advise on compliance and legislation matters. You'll need to have:

Qualification in civil engineering - HND, HNC or bachelor's degree. Professional memberships in Institution of Civil Engineers. First aid training. Experience in nuclear and defence. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good attention to detail. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines. You'll also have:

Educated to degree level (or equivalent). Formal auditor training course. Line management experience. Quality assurance experience. Quality management system experience. Internal auditing experience.
