Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 5pm / Friday: 8:45am- 4:30pm (1 hour lunch) My client is a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging providing an award-winning service to their clients in the food & beverage, retail, commercial, homecare & personal care sectors. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Quality and Compliance Officer to join their team. The chosen candidate will play an important role in supporting the technical team in the day-to-day running of the department. My client is open to candidates in other areas of packaging/manufacturing, providing they have BRC/ISO experience. Role / Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with BRC and ISO accreditation requirements; a sound knowledge of BRC standards and conducting internal audits is essential to maintain and monitor quality and compliance systems. Impact plant performance by improving print, manufacturing, and quality metrics, ensuring the company remains compliant. Log, manage, action, and close nonconformances raised during internal and external audits, monitoring action effectiveness. Maintain record keeping and supplier standards. Gather customer feedback for improvements in products and services; establish and maintain effective relationships with customers. Reduce quality complaints and response times; strive for best results. Employ rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Provide system expertise to plant management and personnel. Drive improvements supporting and delivering the plant's planned results. Prepare information for quality meetings and host the meetings. Complete monthly quality/complaints analytic reports for senior meetings. Lead the HARA team. Act as the contact for the pest control contractor, managing visits and arising issues. Maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications / Experience:

Minimum HACCP Level 3; Level 4 preferred. Strong knowledge and experience of BRC standards and implementation. Lean continuous improvement experience. Clear understanding of manufacturing processes. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience building relationships and liaising with stakeholders. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with strong influence. Ability to work efficiently and effectively alone, as well as part of a large and varied team. Enthusiastic, strong organizational skills, committed, and flexible to the demands of a fast-paced business. Problem solver and analytical proactive thinker. Enjoy working to deadlines and targets in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and excellent attention to detail are essential. Knowledge of MS Packages including Excel and Word. Willingness to learn and a strong desire to develop and grow within the organization.
