Responsibilities: Facilitating and leading defect reduction activities through effective RCCA and Six Sigma (DMAIC). Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions within required timescales. Developing and managing key performance indicators and reporting accordingly to the Quality and Operations teams. Chairing regular corrective action reviews with relevant stakeholders, recording actions and escalating problems where necessary. Improving external customer interaction through regular reviews, allowing two-way communication and effective collaboration. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the definition and delivery of improvement plans within a manufacturing environment. The role will involve carrying out root cause analysis using industry-standard methods and managing the implementation of corrective actions with various stakeholders. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks. Minimum Requirements: Knowledge and experience of problem-solving tools and techniques e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, 8D. Having the ability to build strong relationships and a collaborative approach to continuous improvement. Experience working within a Quality or Engineering role, ideally in the aerospace industry. Desirable: Experience of project management and Life Cycle Management. Knowledge and experience of Process Management within a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of Quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. AS9100).
