Senior Quality Engineer

Metalis is currently working with an established engineering company who are looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to their quality department. The ideal candidate will have experience within heat treatment, castings, or machining or have worked within the aerospace industry.
The Role: Maintain and improve the quality systems and standards across multiple disciplines, including forging, heat treatment, testing, and machining. Conduct audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, BS EN/AS 9100/9120, and Nadcap. Lead problem-solving activities using methodologies like 5 Why, Ishikawa, and 8D. Provide guidance and support across all sites to ensure compliance with quality standards. The Person:
Proven experience in a Quality Professional/Engineer role, ideally within a steel or engineering environment (but not essential). Strong knowledge of National Standards and approvals, including ISO 9001:2015, BS EN/AS 9100/9120, and/or Nadcap. Familiarity with 5 Why, Ishikawa, and 8D. An NVQ/Certificate/Diploma in Quality Management (or similar) and relevant auditing qualifications would be beneficial. Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) membership is preferred but not essential.
