Senior Quality Engineer - Vehicle Refinement

£33.25/hr (Inside IR35) - Liverpool - 12 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Position Description:

Your primary role will involve addressing and resolving attribute concerns related to squeak & rattle, body sealing, and water leaks. You will lead the issue investigation process and establish root causes through close collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and suppliers. A hands-on approach is essential during investigations, following 8D methodology, including the ability to interrogate drawings, models, and take measurements from production.

Skills Required:

Automotive/Engineering degree and prior automotive experience within a quality delivery arena Ability to plan work/events and organize detailed activity to deliver the outcomes Demonstrable problem-solving experience e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving

Experience Required:

Automotive/Engineering degree and prior automotive experience within a quality delivery arena Demonstrate potential to strategize work streams based on the Business Plan Good experience of quality tools (8D, Fish bone, FTA, PDCA, 5Y) Ability to analyze large data that translates into next actions / use of MS Office applications Ability to plan work in 2 weeks sprints, organize work based on priority and deliver against plan Being resourceful with hands-on complex problem-solving capability Ability to lead large projects/resolving complex issues through leading cross-functional teams Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision Demonstrable problem-solving experience - Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving Knowledge and understanding of automotive manufacturing processes Ability to deliver presentations to work groups and senior management A full UK driving license

Experience Preferred:

Previous experience of New Model Launch or Vehicle Manufacturing operations Technical knowledge of vehicle engineering related to Squeaks & Rattle or Water Ingress Active experience of working to Agile methodologies (JIRA) Experience of working with the following company toolsets; Tableau, AIMs, IQM, Flags, IDS, TGW A working knowledge of Trim & Final, BIW, sealing systems A working experience of CAD or Digi-buck Knowledge of material compatibility and joining technologies Working knowledge of Health and Safety/risk assessments

Additional Information:

This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35. Locations: Halewood (Primary) / West Midlands (Occasional). Hybrid: Possible 1 day per week.
