This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to have a significant impact on the operational and cultural excellence of our company. Role Overview: As the Quality Assurance Leader, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and AS13100. You will spearhead the cultural transformation towards Zero Defects, fostering a high-performance quality team, and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Your efforts will be instrumental in ensuring we achieve and maintain the highest levels of product quality, ultimately enhancing our customers' perception of our products. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS):

Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of our QMS, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies. Leadership & Team Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality assurance team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and growth. Continuous Improvement:

Implement and track quality metrics to reduce defects, improve manufacturing processes, and optimize product quality. Customer Relations:

Manage customer communications on quality issues, coordinate audits and inspections, and handle customer complaints using problem-solving methodologies like 8D. Supplier Quality Management:

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to assess and improve supplier quality. Conduct supplier audits and implement corrective actions. Cultural Transformation:

Instill a Zero Defects mindset across the organization, ensuring consistent high-quality outcomes at every stage of production. Laboratory Management:

Oversee the Materials Testing Laboratory to ensure it meets accreditation requirements and customer needs. Governance & Compliance:

Ensure all quality-related documentation (certificates, control plans, inspection plans) meets customer requirements and regulatory standards. Competencies Required:

Strong Leadership:

Inspire and lead a team, manage change, and drive cultural transformation. Resilience & Tenacity:

Be persistent in achieving quality excellence, even when faced with challenges. Strategic and Tactical Expertise:

Balance both long-term quality planning with day-to-day operational needs. Effective Communication:

Present complex quality data and strategies to senior leadership and customers, building trust and confidence in the organization's commitment to quality. Results-Driven:

Make data-informed decisions that consistently improve quality and reduce costs. Education & Experience:

Aerospace or automotive industry background with a proven understanding of quality management and Zero Defects philosophy. Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, with expertise in quality planning and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leadership and manage challenging customer and supplier relationships.
