We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on a major civils infrastructure project in Essex. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take charge of managing the financial and contractual aspects of this significant civils infrastructure project. This role is ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to make a real impact while working on challenging and impactful projects in Essex.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Managing project budgets, costs, and financial forecasting
Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with NEC or other relevant frameworks
Leading the preparation and negotiation of final accounts
Collaborating with the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any cost-related issues
Mentoring and guiding junior team members
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the civils or infrastructure sector
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the project team
A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing costs and contracts
