Senior Quantity Surveyor / Change Manager

If the answer is yes, then the opportunity below is for you! The opportunity: Laing O'Rourke are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on one of our Data Centre projects in Slough. What will the role look like? All aspects of Change Control and Management Senior Quantity Surveying duties including measurement, valuation, and agreement of work sections. Subcontractor Management Forecasting cash and costs. Management of valuations Preparation and management of interim applications for payment and agreeing certifications. Draft, manage and settle subcontracts. Management and reporting of monthly costs. Keep your manager fully advised of any issue/risk which has arisen or might arise, and which could affect the business/project. Negotiating with client's representatives, sub-contractors, and other consultants to achieve project results whilst maintaining group relationships. Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects. Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement. Communicating clearly & confidently to a professional standard. What skills & experience are we looking for? Change control / management experience. Degree qualified in relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management, Construction Management) Member of RICS or working towards achieving MRICS status. FIDIC contract experience A good knowledge of coins, for both sub-contract and cost management. A desire to learn the risk and opportunity process both internal and with our client. A drive to learn and grow to the next grade.
