Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cladding
Construction has always been an industry where you are expected to work longer hours than what is contracted. Its just one of those things… Or is it?
Not for our client; they want you to have a good work-life balance and so you will never be expected to work past 5 PM. A family company with a family ethos, they also have lovely brand-new offices, which you will have a parking space for. No expensive, delayed trains for this role. They also encourage you to build relationships with their clients (not boozy nights) by taking them for breakfast or lunch somewhere fancy in work time and not yours.
The only reason they are looking for a Facades / Cladding QS is because of an upcoming retirement. They have a very low turnover of staff as they look after their people. A specialist subcontractor who offers services in drylining, facades, and recladding projects, working with the biggest name in the residential market.
You will be joining a strong commercial team of 8 Surveyors and 2 Assistants, reporting into the Head of Commercial, who happens to be a top bloke. Whilst our client does internal drylining and fit-out, they are ideally looking for a Façade Quantity Surveyor who understands the intricate design, procurement, and detailed nature of externals. You will be running projects across three streams of business: facades, recladding, and drylining; therefore, the opportunity will give you exposure to a variety of work.
