Salary: Up to £75,000 dependent on experience plus package

Location: East Midlands

My client is a main contractor working nationwide within a multitude of disciplines within the construction and civil engineering industry and is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with highways experience to assist them in delivering high profile projects within the Midlands area.

They require the right candidate to play a crucial role in the success of the project whilst adhering to contractual obligations and meeting business objectives. The projects consist of various disciplines including highways, rail, earthworks, and drainage.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the financial and contractual performance of the project. Overseeing its performance, ensuring the attainment of profit targets and efficiency savings. Adhering to contractual time scales and effectively administering change control processes. Identifying and effectively managing risks and opportunities associated with projects. Conducting compliant procurement processes and selections as required. Addressing commercial queries and providing knowledgeable advice on legal matters. Efficiently managing the Supply Chain and conducting necessary audits. Monitoring the progress of projects, maintaining accurate financial logs, and generating reports. Ensuring strict compliance with assurance processes, policies, and procedures. Building robust relationships with project teams, clients, and members of the commercial team.

Requirements: Must have working knowledge and experience of NEC and JCT Contracts Experience within a Quantity Surveyor role Able to demonstrate relevant project experience within a highways setting A strong commercial background Strong leadership abilities Excellent project management and cost control skills Degree within Quantity Surveying or similar field Problem solving abilities Full UK driving license
