Reddbrick are recruiting for a leading Regional Main Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects across the West Midlands. Currently, they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and manage projects in Derby and the East Midlands. Senior Quantity Surveyor Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managing the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule. Senior Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

Conducting comprehensive cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans Leading the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions Managing the preparation and submittal of monthly reports on project financial performance Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements Management/mentoring of a team of Quantity Surveyors The role will involve general Quantity Surveyor duties but will not be limited to these duties alone. Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field A strong understanding of forms of construction contracts including JCT, NEC and D&B Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving Experience of Student accommodation, Retirement Living and Residential schemes Commercial management experience of projects in excess of £15m Senior Quantity Surveyor Benefits:
