seeking your next challenge? Our client, a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor, is looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their team. Operating across the Midlands and beyond, they specialise in delivering high-quality infrastructure, earthworks, and groundworks projects. Role Overview As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timescales. You'll work closely with project teams to provide cost-effective solutions and drive excellence across all phases of construction. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows. Conduct accurate cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts. Manage subcontractor accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks. Collaborate with project teams to ensure project objectives are met. Produce detailed cost breakdowns and tender documents. Provide support for procurement and contract negotiations. Requirements Proven experience in groundworks, civils, or earthworks projects. Strong understanding of contract law, particularly NEC or JCT contracts. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in industry-standard software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
