Senior Quantity Surveyor required in Reading
GVR Solutions are currently representing a long-standing and well-established client who is a specialist carpentry contractor based in Reading. This client solely specializes in carpentry and joinery packages within the residential sector and is now looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their highly skilled team.
Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Identifying and acquiring new clients and business opportunities, driving growth and profitability. This may involve entertaining clients at sporting events. Develop relationships to ensure effective communication is achieved and maintained. Responsible for building relationships with clients through regular telephone conversations and site meetings. Relationship building with carpenters and suppliers with regular communication. Assist the commercial team to produce accurate take-offs and submit tenders in line with business strategy. Some involvement in materials supply packages. Be involved in setting site budgets which will include breaking down subcontractor price sheets and setting other budgets. Oversee Subcontractor Payment Process alongside Accounts function ensuring all invoices are processed weekly and paid fortnightly. Surveying several live sites. Managing the variation procedures and dealing with price queries from carpenters. Attendance to a monthly debtors meeting. Prepare regular reports including KPI data for the board illustrating the financial situation of various projects in relation to budgets. Prepare RAMS documentation and deal with customer care issues. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you must have/be:
