My client is a privately owned construction maintenance business, specialising in housing and local authority works.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:

Overseeing and taking 'hands-on' management of the commercial team. Working closely with the Regional Director to ensure that commercial targets are met and exceeded. Maintaining client relations, conducting CVR, forecasting, cost, and contractor management.

The ideal candidate will be:

Degree-level qualified. Have a Professional membership (desirable). Essential experience in housing and local authority works.

Key Skills and Abilities:

Ability to get the job done without micro-managing. Relatable and excellent communication skills. Competent in cost control and commercial risk reduction. Proficient in Excel.

This position would suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong leadership and team management skills who is able to work independently and also as part of a team.

It is essential that they will have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and pay high attention to detail and accuracy.

If you are a dynamic Senior QS, with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills and who has the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, this could be the role for you!

This role will require managing a Commercial Team based in Wisbech but can be based out of the Grantham Office with travel to Wisbech 3 or possibly 2 days per week. The role may also require travel to other regional offices in the central region North Cambs/Lincs.
