We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor in the construction industry, with a portfolio of successful projects across various sectors. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are seeking a Senior level or Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Quantity Surveyors and will report directly to the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the commercial aspects of multiple construction projects simultaneously Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, cost reports, and contract summaries Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts Negotiate with clients and subcontractors to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company Prepare contract documents and advise on contractual arrangements Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, providing support and guidance when required

Essential Requirements:

Degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role Proven record of commercial success on complex construction projects Excellent communication and negotiation skills Familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines Full UK driving license
