Senior Quantity Surveyor
12 Month Contract

£450 - £550 per shift paid via Umbrella PAYE
My Tier 1 client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their rail division on a contract basis to support the team with an increase in workload. Responsibilities:
To understand the procurement process and targets in securing the services of Sub-Contractors/Suppliers/Design Consultants. Ensure maximum value for money is achieved. Raise commercial awareness and embed commercial focus and best practice across each project team. Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and drawings. Set and manage budgets ensuring all costs are correctly allocated into the relevant WBS. Proactively drive the recording of all contractual entitlements, ensuring timely notification of events and accurate pricing and substantiation of change. Establish robust project life cycle cost forecasts updated monthly and monitored against agreed targets. Notify Managing Surveyor, Civils Director, and Project Manager of any commercial disagreements with Employer and Sub-Contractors/Suppliers. Requirements:
Experience in heavy civil projects (Rail). Experience dealing with subcontracts. BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Experience working with/for Tier 1 contractors. Experience with NEC contracts.
