Due to considerable planned growth, our client, a leading developer of quality homes and sustainable communities in London and Home Counties, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their regeneration team.

You will take full commercial responsibility and ownership for the projects, working closely with the CM and the wider team to ensure a successful project is delivered, whilst maintaining relationships and maximizing commercial returns and managing risk.

You should be commercially aware and influential within the team and wider business, promoting their business in a positive and professional light with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and consultants as required. Assume responsibility for and administer in a timely manner all project commercial and contractual issues, ensuring proper accurate commercial performance, including preparing tenders, analyzing and selecting appropriate capable subcontractors, and finalizing subcontractor orders. Financially and commercially manage to final account completion. Promptly set a formal commercial budget and monitor and review accordingly. Consider all subcontractor appointments in a balanced and concise manner - understand what risks remain and manage accordingly - ensure quality, H&S, and financial security are considered in our selection of subcontract and other partners. Prepare and present forecasts, targets, cost, and value reconciliation reports. Follow the prescribed timings for applications, invoicing, and payments - both internal and external. Ensure updated projected final accounts are provided regularly and prepare, submit, and agree final accounts in a timely manner. Understand our insurance requirements and obligations. Involvement with establishing, implementing, and adhering to commercial plans. Be naturally commercially inquisitive and look for opportunities. Manage and oversee junior commercial staff to achieve the project commercial requirements.

Experience and Qualifications: Experience within the construction industry. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Proficiency in construction software. Organized, commercially aware, self-motivated, with good communication skills. Ambitious and a team player.
