Senior Quantity Surveyor
to join in this exciting phase of the business. This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility with homeworking and office-based work. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Contract Compliance : Support the Commercial Team to ensure adherence to company systems, processes, and procedures on contracts. Financial Monitoring : Monitor and report on the financial performance of assigned contracts within strict deadlines. Contract Establishment : Assist in establishing suitable construction contracts with clients to meet procurement needs. Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate financial statements for assigned contracts. Contract Administration : Ensure proper administration of contract requirements, including managing variations (changes) to the works. Commercial Completion : Maintain contemporary records for supporting claims, extensions of time, and evaluation of variations. Subcontractor Management : Manage the appointment and ongoing management of subcontractors, including payment applications and final accounts. Timely Invoicing : Ensure prompt submission of invoices and applications for payment to clients. Business Development Support : Assist in producing information for pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and tenders. Team Development : Mentor and guide the Commercial and Operations Team through training initiatives. Staff Management : Oversee Commercial Staff regarding timekeeping, technical training, development, resourcing, and performance reviews.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess: Experience with NEC3 or NEC4 Contracts involving target cost, fixed price, or cost-reimbursable mechanisms. Familiarity with framework and contract mechanisms within the utilities sector. A background in infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects is preferable. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment. Proficiency in preparing interim and final accounts. A clean driving license.
