Quantity Surveyor
Our client, an award-winning company within the engineering and manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor based in West Cumbria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day commercial management of projects, ensuring the integrity and compliance within the Business Management System.
Key Responsibilities: Cost Management - assisting the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for projects. General Commercial administration. Assisting the senior quantity surveyor in issuing applications for payment, time sheet entry, and compensation events. Helping with the assessment of subcontract applications. Liaison - communicating with other members of the business to ensure a project can be carried out successfully.
Key Skills: Excellent levels of communication to ensure all parties involved in a project are aware of what is taking place and work can run smoothly. High levels of organization so that costs are managed effectively. Great levels of motivation within a work environment to ensure that work is carried out to a high standard. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
