Senior QS - North East | Contract Position
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Blyth. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the commercial lead while also covering day-to-day QS duties, with an advantage if you have experience within Data Centre construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as Commercial Lead on designated projects Ensure all contractual procedures are followed Prepare tender documents, contracts & budgets. Manage project cost control systems Identify value engineering opportunities
Qualifications:
A degree or similar qualification in quantity surveying or relevant field is required. Membership of RICS (Royal Institution Of Chartered Surveyors) desirable but not essential.
Skills Required:
To succeed at this position you should possess excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong negotiation abilities. You must also showcase solid analytical thinking capabilities alongside efficient problem-solving techniques that can identify potential issues before they arise. Solid understanding of NEC/ECC/ JCT form contract management knowledge; Proven track record working across multiple sites/projects simultaneously; The ability to read drawings/understand technical specifications; Good Excel/IT Skills.
Rate:
The company offers £400 per day based on a 5-day work week starting from Monday to Friday inclusive. Likelihood role will fall Outside IR35 so you will be able to work through your Ltd company.
