Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the production of cost plans for New Build Residential and Mixed-Use projects across all RIBA stages, from Stage 0 (Strategic Definition) to Stage 5 (Construction). The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cost management, with a proven ability to deliver accurate and detailed cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Requirements:
Production of cost plans for New Build Residential and Mixed-Use projects. Client liaison and attending design team meetings. Client-side valuations, certification, and evaluation of changes. Reviewing and analysing Main Contractors' tender submissions. Cost exercises for clients including Value Engineering. Maintaining cost database. Focus on residential projects and fire remediation work. Key Skills Required:
Experience of high-rise cladding and replacement and contractor negotiations. Preparation of Cost/Benefit analysis of design options. Ensuring all costs are tracked & validated/open book evaluation. Supporting clients by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates. Cost comparison and main contractor selection. Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports, and forecasts. Respond to commercial and contractual disputes and claims including loss and expense, final account, changes, and cost value reconciliation review. Understanding of JCT Design & Build Contracts. Negotiation with Contractors. Review of pricing documents against programme and cashflow. Reward Benefits:
