We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget. You will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, monitoring project expenditures, and implementing effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Note that this is a hybrid role and will vary between working on site, at home and in the office. Duties

Prepare, review, and update detailed cost estimates and budgets. Manage the end-to-end commercial process, from enquiry receipt to final account close-out. Produce and deliver accurate monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) to senior managers. Implement cost control measures to optimise project expenditure and enhance profitability. Oversee contract documentation, including bills of quantities and scopes of work. Negotiate and review terms to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Ensure timely applications and responses to achieve project cash flow forecasts. Respond to client requests with professionalism and efficiency. Build and encourage strong partnerships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Mentor and guide junior and intermediate quantity surveyors. Promote a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Qualifications

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the Civil Engineering industry is preferred. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts. Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
