ASAP Senior Quantity Surveyor - The Company:

Our client is a successful Welsh-based main contractor with an established reputation across South Wales. Typical projects are mixed and vary across Commercial and Residential sectors, with an excellent pipeline of work typically between Swansea and Cardiff. Projects consist of both new build and refurbishment. Senior Quantity Surveyor - The Role:

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the regional commercial team. You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day commercial aspects of new build projects across both residential, social housing, and commercial sectors. This position will report to a Commercial Director, with an opportunity to step up to Managing QS quickly. Typical Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure optimum commercial return is achieved for the project. Prepare cost/value reconciliation reports accurately. Prepare and agree interim valuations at the agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company. Agree final accounts with subcontractors to maximize project margins. Ensure subcontract orders are prepared in accordance with company procedure and the contract program. Maintain control of subcontractor accounts and minimize the cost of any variations. Manage subcontracts in terms of valuation and correspondence. Carry out duties as a quantity surveyor on projects as instructed. Prepare or assist with cost/value reconciliation reports on a monthly basis, accurately reporting the forecast final financial position of the project. Prepare turnover cash flow forecasts as directed by the line manager at the commencement of all projects, updating as required. Senior Quantity Surveyor - The Person:

Solid experience with a main contractor is essential. Ideally experience on Residential and Commercial projects. Demonstrable experience of delivering Commercial projects within budget and program. Proven experience in managing more junior quantity surveyors is desirable but not essential. Innovative - ability to identify better ways of doing things. A good team player, someone who wants to be part of a growing business to achieve common goals. Commutable to Swansea. The Reward:
