Rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join this established main contractor, offering the chance to take a standalone Senior role in the business where you will manage large multi-million pound projects from start to finish. Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to play a vital role in a small, but established main contractor? Are you looking to manage varied projects? Are you looking for an autonomous Senior opportunity? This company is an established commercial main contractor that works on projects across the UK ranging from £8m-£15m. They turnover circa £12m a year and have a strong pipeline of work lined up for the next couple of years. Now they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. In this role, you will be based from the Wakefield office with monthly (approximately) UK travel, mainly to the South East to visit sites. You will report into the Commercial Manager and will be the sole Quantity Surveyor within the business. You will undertake all commercial and contractual requirements, ensuring sound financial performance and preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost reports. You will have a good working knowledge and application of Main Contract and Sub-Contract Forms and Standard Method of Measurement. You will also prepare and agree monthly valuations, including valuing variations, forecasting final accounts, and appointing subcontractors. This role is suited to a Quantity Surveyor from a main contractor construction background who is looking for a varied, busy, standalone role with a successful contractor.
