Our client is a well-established company in the flooring industry, specialising in high-end residential and commercial projects throughout London.
About the Role
They are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to manage all commercial aspects of live projects. The position is based at their Bishops Stortford head office, with site visits when necessary.
Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial management of ongoing projects within the business
* Work closely with the Estimating Manager on tendering contracts
* Take ownership of the commercial oversight of live contracts, transitioning from Estimating
* Procure flooring and related accessories (Pre-Con Pack provided by Estimating)
* Ensure project execution is in line with the main contract requirements
* Oversee client valuations, meetings, and final account settlements
* Approve invoices and subcontractor work
* Prepare quarterly cost-to-complete reports for the Company Secretary
* Collaborate effectively with the Owner and Contracts Team
Experience / Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, working with Tier 1 Contractors or High-End Fit Out companies
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
* Experience in the flooring industry is advantageous but not essential
Future Opportunities
There is potential for this role to evolve into a Commercial Director position for candidates who demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.
