ReCon Advisory Partners are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor based in and around the Manchester area on behalf of a civil engineering contractor. The company is seeking an individual who can play a vital part within their business, having many responsibilities to ensure the business becomes even more successful.
The client is in search of an individual who has experience working on a variety of projects; however, experience in civil engineering projects is essential. There are a number of projects the client has completed in the past, including fast food chain restaurants, schools, warehouses, residential developments, and more. Therefore, if you have experience in any of these areas, it will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Contacting potential clients by telephone or meeting face to face to discuss their requirements, offer advice, and provide them with an estimate of the likely costs. Providing technical knowledge and input into the process of quoting, site surveys, and design. Liaising with managers and key decision-makers within the business. Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients. Staying updated on industry trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure estimates reflect current market conditions. Conducting risk assessments and incorporating contingency plans in estimates. Requirements:
Preferred degree in quantity surveying or associated construction field. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor. Experience working on civils-based projects. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PDF, and other Microsoft programs. Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team to deliver high-quality standards for every client. Willing and able to work 5 days in the office. Pay:
