Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) is looking to appoint a highly motivated, confident and enthusiastic professional to support the widening participation (WP), outreach and recruitment work for the school. This new and exciting role will work as part of the BSMS Admissions team, to provide up to date and accurate information, and subject matter knowledge, advice and guidance to prospective medical students, parents/carers, teachers and careers advisors. To lead on a number of key elements to BSMS recruitment and outreach activity and to assist the team with other areas of day to day business. This role will require the successful candidate to work at least 12 Saturdays a year, plus evenings and occasional overnight stays away from home. About you
Applicants will have experience of widening participation into higher education and demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to motivate and inspire young people. They should have a high level of personal responsibility, initiative and attention to detail. The post holder will be highly organised, adaptable, and flexible, have excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be a team player, with excellent IT skills and have a supportive approach to students and be able to communicate information in an understandable way, both orally and in writing. They will have the ability to work with minimal supervision. About our School
