Senior Recruitment Consultant , you'll play a vital role in hiring the talent that drives our mission forward. With NP Aerospace experiencing rapid growth across the UK and Canada, you'll lead multiple critical campaigns and continuously improve our in-house recruitment processes, working closely with hiring managers to meet resource needs efficiently while ensuring an outstanding candidate experience. Lead various direct hiring recruitment campaign lifecycles, from job description creation to onboarding, for a diverse range of roles across the UK and Canada. Strategic Hiring Support:

Partner with hiring managers to understand resource requirements, provide strategic guidance, and enforce recruitment KPIs to achieve competitive time-to-hire timeframes. Interview Coordination:

Schedule and attend interviews as needed, to support hiring managers. Candidate Engagement:

Act as an engaging and supportive representative of NP Aerospace, fostering a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process and beyond. Attracting Top Talent:

Ensure recruitment best practices and company policies are followed to attract high-quality candidates effectively. Job Marketing and Branding:

Develop compelling job adverts, and marketing materials for use across various platforms, including LinkedIn, job boards, and the company careers page. Direct Sourcing and Headhunting:

Lead proactive sourcing efforts to identify and approach high-calibre talent for key roles using in-house tools and strategies. Agency Collaboration:

Collaborate with recruitment agencies to support hiring for specialised or hard-to-fill positions if direct sourcing is not possible or suitable. Onboarding Management:

Manage the onboarding process, from offer acceptance to induction, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. Technology and Tools:

Effectively utilise the ATS, LinkedIn and CV Library and other candidate engagement platforms to streamline recruitment processes and maintain organised workflows. Recruitment Administration:

Take ownership of essential administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all recruitment processes, including maintaining accurate records and documentation. Security Clearance Coordination:

Oversee and manage aspects of security clearance arrangements for new hires, ensuring compliance with requirements and timely processing and checking. Compliance Management:

Ensure compliance with employment policies and regulations, including Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), National Minimum Wage (NMW), and Right to Work. Labour Market Insights:

Analyse local labour market trends to inform recruitment strategies and address workforce challenges. Salary Benchmarking:

Conduct salary benchmarking by analysing competitor data and industry trends to recommend competitive salary packages. Training:

Provide training and coaching for hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and recruitment best practices when required. Community Engagement:

Represent NP Aerospace at job fairs, events, and defence advocacy activities to build relationships within the local community in Coventry and defence community across the West Midlands. Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to recruitment process improvement initiatives to uphold NP Aerospace's recruitment standards in line with market best practices. EXPERIENCE Essential In-House Recruitment Experience or Significant Understanding:

Proven experience or significant understanding of managing in-house end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including both volume and specialised hires. JD and Job Ad Creation:

Ability to create clear, engaging, and accurate job descriptions and advertisements that attract top talent. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS):

Proficient in using ATS systems to manage the recruitment process, track candidates, and streamline workflows. LinkedIn Recruiter Expertise:

Experienced in using LinkedIn Recruiter to proactively source, engage, and build relationships with candidates. Direct Sourcing & CV Searching:

Strong experience in direct sourcing, headhunting, and CV searching to identify qualified candidates, especially for hard-to-fill or niche roles. Advanced MS Teams & Excel Skills:

Skilled in using MS Teams for collaboration and communication, as well as basic Excel functionalities for data management and reporting. Small to Medium-Sized Recruitment Campaigns:

Experience working on both single roles and smaller recruitment campaigns, ensuring efficient and timely hires. Specialised/Technical Recruitment:

Demonstrated ability to successfully recruit for specialised, technical, or hard-to-fill positions, with a focus on quality and precision. Adaptability & Growth Mindset:

Experience working in a fast-paced organisation with a passion for overcoming challenges. Desirable CIPD Qualification:

Professional qualification in HR or Recruitment (CIPD or equivalent) is an advantage. Industry Experience:

Experience in recruitment within the

defence, manufacturing, and engineering

industries, with a solid understanding of the specific talent needs and challenges in these sectors. International Recruitment:

Experience with

hiring outside of the UK , particularly in regions such as Canada or other international markets, to support global recruitment efforts. Apprenticeship and Graduate Recruitment:

Exposure to

apprenticeship

and

graduate recruitment

programmes, with an understanding of the unique requirements and processes involved. Armed Forces Covenant Awareness:

Knowledge of the

Armed Forces Covenant

and the

Employer Recognition Scheme , with an understanding of how these frameworks support recruitment and employment within the defence sector. Hiring Manager Training:

Experience in

training hiring managers

on best practices for writing job descriptions, creating effective job ads, and interviewing skills through desk coaching, webinars, or structured training sessions. ABILITY ASSESSMENT If you're selected for a face-to-face interview, we'll ask you to present a brief (10-minute) recruitment strategy for a brand-new role. You'll outline the steps you'd take at each stage to ensure both the hiring manager and candidate have a positive experience, leading to a successful hire.
