Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and strategic recruitment professional to lead their recruitment department as part of their continued growth. This presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong recruitment background and proven leadership experience to make a significant impact within the organization, shaping and executing recruitment strategies across the entire Group.

The Senior Recruitment Manager will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment function, ensuring the delivery of scalable and effective recruitment solutions. This individual will lead a team, driving recruitment transformation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with IR35 regulations. The role provides a unique opportunity to take the lead in attracting top talent, fostering a high-performance culture, and delivering tangible results that support the client’s business objectives.

In this role, the Senior Recruitment Manager will operate both strategically and operationally, developing and executing recruitment strategies in close collaboration with senior leaders. They will also leverage AI and new technologies to stay ahead of market trends, securing a competitive edge in talent acquisition.

Additionally, the Senior Recruitment Manager will champion diversity, equality, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives, supporting the client’s social value commitments and promoting social mobility within the communities in which they operate.

Core Responsibilities

Design and lead recruitment strategies aligned with business goals and workforce planning needs. Drive recruitment transformation through process improvements, automation, and digitization. Lead, mentor, and develop a growing recruitment team, fostering expertise and career growth. Ensure compliance with IR35 regulations and provide insights into risk mitigation strategies. Develop and oversee recruitment advertising strategies, blending traditional and digital channels to attract high-quality candidates. Stay ahead of industry trends by exploring and integrating AI and emerging technologies into recruitment practices. Manage job board negotiations and establish cost-effective advertising partnerships. Optimize the recruitment agency mix to balance direct sourcing with third-party support. Collaborate with Procurement and Legal teams to establish value-driven agreements with recruitment partners. Partner with senior stakeholders to align recruitment solutions with organizational transformation initiatives. Continuously evaluate and refine recruitment processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience. Promote inclusive recruitment practices that attract and retain diverse talent in line with the client’s EDI strategy. Support social mobility by ensuring recruitment activities reflect the client’s social value commitments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Essential

Proven senior management experience in both volume and specialist recruitment across a large, complex organization. Expertise in designing and executing scalable recruitment strategies, adaptable to various roles and levels. Deep knowledge of IR35 and Agency Worker Regulations, with experience managing compliance and due diligence. Strong leadership abilities, with experience in coaching and developing a high-performing recruitment team. Experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating value-driven agency contracts. In-depth understanding of employment legislation, EDI principles, and inclusive recruitment practices. Ability to apply AI and new technologies to improve recruitment outcomes. Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders effectively.
