About The Role Are you passionate about place making and creating great places for people to live, work and visit? If you are, then this could be the role for you! Fareham Borough Council are looking for a Senior Regeneration Project Officer to join their newly formed Regeneration team. This role will provide the opportunity to help deliver Fareham’s regeneration vision. Leading on the delivery of key projects and assisting with coordinating the delivery of the programme, working alongside other Council services and engaging with local businesses on a range of regeneration initiatives. About You We are looking for someone who has previous experience in regeneration or a related area and who can think creatively to deliver a range of town centre projects and initiatives. You will have excellent project management and delivery skills, including managing project budgets and making a positive contribution to the regeneration work we are undertaking. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with key public sector partners, businesses, communities, and residents to promote town centre regeneration proposals, and provide support across the Council to help deliver projects for the successful regeneration of Fareham Town Centre. Ideally, you will have previous experience of sourcing, applying, and delivering grant funding, along with experience of preparing reports and presentations and organizing meetings and events. It would be helpful if you have a qualification in a regeneration-related discipline, and you will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. A key part of this role is supporting the work of the Regeneration Strategic Lead and the wider organization when required. You will have a customer-oriented approach along with excellent communication, project management, negotiation, and financial administration skills. You will have some dealings with elected members and therefore political awareness is essential. A valid driving licence and access to your own transport is essential. About Us We take pride in receiving feedback from others who say we are a friendly and professional organization. By working for us, you will become part of the team and will play your part in serving our community. You would be joining one of the most forward-looking borough councils in the Southeast, a happy team, and a well-managed Council. We offer a great pension scheme, authorized parking, tech schemes, and a car lease scheme to name a few of the benefits of working for us. We encourage our employees to make a valuable contribution to the work of the Council by having a trusting and open culture, where ideas are actively sought. We also recognize the value of a highly motivated and engaged workforce. We are committed to ensuring our services are delivered to the highest possible standard and we put the customer at the forefront of everything we do. If you wish to have an informal discussion about this position, please contact Kirstin Clow, Regeneration Strategic Lead on 01329 824368 or email
