The Ipswich Heart Centre has two catheterisation laboratories and a 12 bedded recovery area.You will support the delivery of coronary angiography, rotablation, stenting, cardiac implantable devices, and DC Cardioversions. You will work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team including physiologists, radiographers, medical colleagues and admin staff. Hours of work are currently between Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7am to 8pm, with a requirement to provide on-call and BH cover. There will be a requirement to work shift patterns to meet the demands of the PCI service which is working towards delivering a 24/7 service. You also need to have the ability to remain professional under pressure and have excellent leadership skills. Ideally you will have experience of working within an acute setting, and is responsive to change. Experience

Proven experience within an acute hospital setting Previous Band 6 experience Previous experience in Cardiology/PCI Ability to manage change Previous theatre/scrub skills Previous experience in acute care Qualifications

Registered Nurse Teaching or mentoring qualification ENB 998 or mentorship preparation course equivalent. ALS certification Knowledge

Able to make judgements based on evidence based practice and translate this for use within the clinical environment Able to deal with communication problems Dealing with distressed people Identification, assessment and development of patient needs Knowledge of speciality Nursing Needs Previous catheter lab and/or recovery experience Counselling skills Disclosure and Barring Service Check
