The Role:
The purpose of this role is to provide exclusive content on M&A, equity and debt financing concerning the renewables, and broader power generation space in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The reporter will take a leading role primarily feeding content into ION Analytics’
Infralogic
publication, as well as providing support to other products within the group. Key Responsibilities:
To target five exclusive stories a week on topics such as live and predicted renewables and power generation M&A, financing, people moves, fund profiles, corporate strategy, and trend analyses, as well as to support on-diary news coverage. Build and develop contacts with the renewables finance community, including investors, corporates, developers, lenders and advisors. Assist with ION Analytics’, primarily
Infralogic ’s, events with content creation, panel moderation and speaking. Work with the energy editor, senior editors, and collaborate with colleagues across the group to support content creation targeted at ION Analytics’ key customer segments. Maintain high standards of copy and adhere to group-wide compliance policies. Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge of the power, energy and renewables sector, with a proven record of reporting exclusives. At least five years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom, with global exposure. Proven record of breaking news for a media organization, as well as writing in-depth analyses. Ability to spot trends in market data and conduct research to identify and produce reports. Track record of building a network of sources to produce reports. Strong news and analyses writing skills.
