Overview Key Responsibilities: You’ll provide regular reserving advice, input into business planning, reserve variability and business partnering to undertake deep dives into relevant segments of the portfolio as required. You’ll also lead and develop a team of qualified and student actuaries. Develop strong relationships across the business. Articulate areas of uncertainty and differentiate between different drivers of results. Actively contribute in all business meetings as required in order to understand and support business requirements. Manage a team ensuring that the overall output and quality of the service provided by the team is within specified levels. Develop and coach the team so as to ensure the required standards of performance, and support the continuing personal and professional development of all team members increasing their capability and share knowledge and best practice. Qualifications required: Qualified Actuary or qualifies by experience. Experience required: Good understanding of industry best practice in actuarial analysis, modelling and underwriting. Strong experience in Reserving, ideally within a Reinsurance environment. Ability to organise own and team’s work to meet deadlines. Ability to question established processes and deliver appropriate change. Able to set goals for team and self to meet overall corporate objectives.
