Senior Residential Support Worker - Children and Young People
Location: Longton, Preston Shifts: 1 on 2 off plus sleeps Hours: Full time Pay: £13.23 per hour, £55 per sleep Driving Licence: Essential This excellent family-run children's service has 5 residential homes in total across the North West of England, with no more than 3 young people in 1 service and each home accommodating up to 3 beds. We are looking for compassionate, caring individuals to join our team of children's residential support workers. Previous experience of at least 1 year supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviours is desirable. The ability to work across more than one service is essential, as staff are often required to work on rotation. Responsibilities:
The Senior Residential Care Worker is responsible for the young people whilst on duty. They are responsible for promoting a positive, safe, and homely environment for all young people within the home. They will promote best practice and therapeutic parenting within their teams, in accordance with the service's policies and procedures. Providing a safe and caring home to the children and young people. Following and implementing the delivery of the individual care plans as directed by the Registered Manager to ensure that care and support is provided and maintained. Providing emotional support and companionship. Enabling the young people to participate in activities and events in the community. Supporting the young people to become independent - such as finances and appointments. Maintaining accurate records and reporting to your supervisor. Rewards and Benefits:
