About the Role Role – Senior Residential Support Worker Location – Abergavenny Salary - Up to £31,691.60 per year inclusive of sleep-in shifts at £50.00 per night Full time and part time opportunities available ***Please note we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time*** We have an opportunity for Senior Residential Support Workers to join our team in our children’s home in Abergavenny, supporting up to 4 Young People with Emotional & Behavioural Disorders. All our homes are based in a semi-rural location to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for the individuals we support. We aim to provide a homely environment where Young People feel secure, supported, and nurtured. To be a successful Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll need: QCF/NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care (Children and Young People). Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in Care. A willing attitude and a caring, reliable nature. Compassion and empathy. Enthusiasm to promote independence and choice. A strong work ethic, flexibility, self-motivation, and resilience. Excellent communication skills. Due to the requirements of the role, the minimum age requirement for the role is 22 years of age. Full UK manual driving license (This is essential due to the needs of the Young People we support). In return for your Skills and Expertise as a Senior Residential Support Worker you’ll receive: Opportunities for Career progression upon completion of appropriate qualifications. 28 days annual leave per year, plus up to 5 days additional leave for continued service. Paid Induction Training Programme and DBS. An employee referral bonus scheme, earn £1000 per referral for Registered Managers and £500 per referral up to Deputy Manager level, on completion of their probationary period. 45p per mile mileage allowance working outside of your allocated home. Paid training for nationally recognised Health and Social Care Qualifications. Company pension scheme. Your Birthday Day off! Earn double rate of pay for sleep ins on selected dates for Christmas and Easter period.
