Our individual outcome and quality-focused care support plans will be tailored to meet the needs of each child and young person by having a team of professionally trained, compassionate, and dedicated staff. Responsibilities:

Become acting manager of a residential home. Work under the direction of the Registered Manager/Assistant Manager to actively contribute to the provision of quality care, promoting the health, welfare, education, and development of young people. Contribute towards the maintenance of a positive, safe, and homely environment, ensuring the safety and care of young people is paramount. Work proactively with the team within the daily routine and agreed structures of the house, including day-to-day parenting responsibilities and participation in activities with young people. Work in partnership with parents, social workers, agencies, and other professionals linked to the young person’s care plan. Undertake keyworker responsibility for individual young people, focusing on specific needs identified in their care plans. Follow and act in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulation, and company policies and procedures. Work collectively with team members to manage young people who exhibit challenging behavior, in accordance with company policy. Take the lead in decision-making, ensuring paperwork is completed to required standards. Undertake appropriate training as identified by the Registered Manager or Assistant Manager. Accompany children and young people on recreational activities, demonstrating positive role modeling. Attend home visits and provide specialist outreach services as required. Participate in case reviews and provide support when difficulties arise. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons. Report any noticeable changes in health, behavior, or circumstances of children and young people to management. Be a key member of the care team and work collaboratively with others. Be innovative, creative, flexible, and open to learning. Demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, self-awareness, and acceptance of others. Training will take place within contracted working hours, and will include a range of virtual classes, online training, and face-to-face sessions (where possible). Shifts: Day shift, Monday to Friday; Night shift; Weekend availability. Shifts tbc.
