The Council Revenues and Benefits Service is responsible for Billing, Collection and Recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit Overpayment & Sundry Debt. You should be able to demonstrate a clear customer focus with well-developed customer service skills, balanced with a commitment to effective service delivery. Roles Available:

1 x 37 hour post on Council Tax Billing Team - relevant experience of Billing work is required such as discounts, payments, moves. 1 x 37 hour post on Council Tax Recovery Team - relevant experience working within a recovery/collection environment. Both roles will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the position to be based at Howden House. We currently operate a hybrid working pattern. Required Skills and Experience:

Experience and knowledge of general Council Tax Procedures and legislation. Experience and knowledge of accurate Billing and Recovery across different Council Tax functions and various income streams. Experience of the billing and recovery of a range of local authority debts and a broad knowledge of maximising revenue throughout the recovery cycle. Well-developed I.T. skills, including familiarity with Revenues and Benefits processing systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Excel and MS Word. Experience and knowledge of a customer-focused approach to service delivery, balanced with the needs of the service users. Experience of dealing with internal & external customers via all available communication channels. All successful candidates will be required to complete a Basic DBS check.
