Senior RF Engineer

to be responsible for

PCB Design , RF experience and will hold a

British Passport . Duties: Lead RF equipment development and maintain RF designs for product improvements or obsolescence. Ascertain requirements and specifications and their verification & validation. Provide technical support to Supply Chain, Quality, Suppliers and Customers. Support external RF designs, maintain RF Production Tests and support manufacture. Respond to technical issues, undertaking trend analysis and root cause analysis. Ensure that Engineering Procedures are followed, and quality is maintained through design and manufacture. Generate estimates, plans, and generally manage small work packages ensuring documentation is maintained. Skills & Experience: PCB Design at microwave frequencies is essential - comfortable with manipulating schematics and defining/reviewing required layout (ideally using Altium software). Must have RF Component selection knowledge including High Power RF amplifier, Low Noise Amplifiers, Limiters, Circulators, Filters, Mixers and Phase Locked Loop usage. Must have experience of RF System Design (e.g. Cascade Analysis). Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g. Spectrum Analysers, Vector Network Analysers) is essential. Experience of Design for test and design for manufacture is a must. Experience of a Production Environment including a good understanding of processes such as SMT. Must be self-motivated, enjoy working within a team and have good written and verbal English. Knowledge of Radar and related applications would be desirable. Digital electronics, power supply design and systems engineering is preferable. Test Automation using MATLAB or Python, EMC and Regulatory compliance experience would be ideal. Must be able to gain UK Security clearance and hold a UK Driving License. Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
