Senior Risk Business Partner - Deals
Salary: National – circa £75,000, London – circa £95,000
We are looking for a Senior Risk Business Partner to join our Commercial Lines (CL) and Claims Business Partnering team with a focus on deals and thematic reviews. A bit about the job:
The purpose of this role is to provide 1st line Risk & Governance support and expertise on GI (General Insurance) distribution deals, including M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) opportunities. This will include being an active member of the virtual bid teams, providing guidance, support and challenge to the deals and ensuring that we are identifying, capturing, and acting / mitigating any risks identified. The Risk BP will also be responsible for managing and refreshing the deal framework(s) – bringing together the views of the key stakeholders and ensuring that these are factored into the refresh.
The role will also include driving forwards or supporting thematic reviews either in response to business demands or identified by the role holder and prioritised by the Head of Risk Business Partnering.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Must have proven experience of General Insurance market and regulatory framework as well as distribution deals.
Experience providing risk expertise and working with risk management frameworks – ideally regarding Mergers & Acquisitions, Delegated Underwriting Authorities and MGA’s.
Knowledge of thematic reviews.
As this role is part of our CL and Claims Business Partnering team with a focus on deals, having financial acumen is preferable.
Proven experience in managing the highest level of senior management relationships, negotiating, and influencing behaviour and decision making.
