Senior Risk Manager Job description Here at Sciensus a new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Risk Manager. This is a permanent position, hybrid working coming into our Burton office at least 2 days a week. Reporting to our Head of Audit and Risk, you will develop, implement, and maintain robust risk management frameworks and controls across the organisation, ensuring proactive risk identification, mitigation, and regulatory compliance to safeguard the organisation's assets, reputation, and operational continuity. You will be well versed in developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively across all functions. We will expect you to conduct regular risk assessments and support the Finance and Operations functions with enhanced risk controls, focusing on continual improvement and also establish, maintain, and continuously improve process maps and a key risk controls matrix. Key skills required: Professional Qualifications : Risk, Audit, or Accounting Qualifications Experience : Significant experience in a risk management role, ideally within a fast-paced environment. Technical Expertise : Strong foundation in risk management frameworks, financial controls, and management accounting. Process Improvement : Proven experience in process improvement and implementing effective change management. Leadership : Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in team management, coaching, and performance management. Analytical Thinking : Ability to critically analyse complex business situations, plan strategically, and make data-informed decisions. Communication Skills : Strong ability to communicate risk management strategies clearly to diverse stakeholders.
