Main duties of the job

Working effectively within the team, you will provide evidence-based interventions. You will manage a caseload and will be required to undertake assessments and reviews. Using the Care Programme Approach, you will be a care coordinator, communicating effectively with those involved in the care of people in custody up to release. The role will require you to be a reflective practitioner, eager to work collaboratively with individuals, carers, and other professionals to contribute to the delivery of an effective, dynamic, integrated mental health and substance misuse service. You will work with individuals from initial assessment through to discharge, which can include transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs while working with a variety of agencies in the Offender Health Pathway. A summary is as follows: Take a recovery-focused and holistic approach in working with the people who access our services. Deliver care and interventions utilizing the stepped care model, including provision of the CPA Framework where appropriate. Assess people's needs to develop, implement and evaluate personalized care plans. Facilitate therapeutic group work taking the lead where appropriate. Deliver evidence-based interventions. Identify people requiring hospital treatment and facilitate the timely transfer under The Mental Health Act. Line management of Band 5 nurse where appropriate. Qualifications

Registered Mental Health Nurse Evidence of recent CPD and compliance with NMC revalidation Experience

Considerable experience of working in the mental health field Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health problems, counselling techniques, CBT, motivational interviewing Providing supervision and line management of staff You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
