Are you looking to join a dynamic, forward-thinking department and expand your clinical skills? We have fantastic opportunities for staff who have completed their basic rotations or who are looking to expand their existing clinical knowledge within inpatient Orthopaedics. We pride ourselves on supporting staff with good team and department structures and morale. We run specialist clinical training, non-clinical training, student training, as well as supporting external courses. You will be supported by Team Leaders and Senior peers. We also have superb working relationships with our Consultants and Ward Teams. Our clinical staff are involved in Trust-level clinical and nonclinical projects and have opportunities to drive service development, audit, and evidence-based practice. Main duties of the job

This dynamic high-profile team is at the forefront of pathway redesign and takes the lead in case management and discharge planning of elective and trauma patients. The Royal Surrey is a Trauma Unit, and the Physiotherapists lead with the management and fitting of hard collars and other spinal orthoses. In addition to this, we have routine elective surgery, as well as an Orthogeriatric led fracture neck of femur service. Patients are seen initially within the acute Trust and then moved to a subacute site for further rehabilitation. There is a requirement for flexible working as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays on a roster system. About us

Royal Surrey is a compassionate and collaborative acute and community Trust. Recognising that our 5000 colleagues are our greatest strength, we offer a comprehensive health and wellbeing program along with a commitment to developing and advancing your career. Our diverse and welcoming Royal Surrey family will ensure you feel valued from your initial interview through your entire tenure. We are clinically led and provide joined-up care by bridging the gap between hospital and community services alongside regional specialist cancer care. Our main acute hospital site is in Guildford, with community hospital sites at Milford, Haslemere, and Cranleigh. We provide adult community health services in homes across Guildford and Waverley. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has given us an overall rating of Outstanding. Royal Surrey has a strong reputation and history to build on. We are proud of our achievements and we are investing in our colleagues through our commitment to supporting professional development as well as investing more than £45 million in our physical environment and new equipment in the next few years. There has never been a better time to join us. Although it isn't the Trust's normal practice, adverts may close early, so you are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible.
