We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Radiographers to join our friendly and supportive Radiology team at Community Diagnostic Centre in Amersham. You will join our team of Senior Radiographers where we will provide opportunities for you to develop your career. We offer a great working environment, investing in training and new equipment, but our greatest asset is our highly skilled, patient-focused and friendly team. This post is rotational which will include CT & MRI and General X-ray if required. This post will be based at CDC in Amersham Hospital but the successful applicant may work cross-site if required. Main duties of the job

Vet and accept imaging requests and advise medical officers of the appropriateness of requests. Undertake intravenous injection of contrast media by hand or by high pressure injector (over 16 years old) in line with the injection policy. Undertake equipment quality assurance in line with QA programme and take appropriate action. Interpret images sufficiently to discuss with a Consultant Radiologist further sequences within agreed protocols. In absence of Radiologist use experience and judgement of previous cases to take further images to demonstrate an area of abnormality. Monitor and clinically assess student radiographers. Participate in staff development and training. Participate in and undertake Audit and research projects. Assist with development of procedures and protocols. EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Degree or equivalent in Radiography Evidence of CPD and attendance at relevant short courses HPC Registration Post Graduate Certificate EXPERIENCE

Strong experience in radiography including out of hours work Experience of Quality Assurance or up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety and Risk Assessment issues Supervision and training of junior colleagues Experience working in the NHS 2-3 years experience in radiography including out of hours work Plus experience with Fluoroscopy procedures Plus 1 year MRI experience and CT scanning. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Travel to other sites if required Participation in out-of-hours rota SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
