Provide expert knowledge and technical delivery of Radiological Safety Assessments including SQEP safety support to multi-disciplinary teams, addressing widespread safety challenges. Manage and maintain the relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing support to bids for new packaged work. Develop new capabilities through innovative approaches including the technical lead on complex R&D projects and submissions. Development and support of junior colleagues within Radiological Safety. The Person:
The successful candidates will ideally be Degree qualified or Chartered Member of a professional institution. Capable of demonstrating a level of technical capability conversant with performing Radiological Safety Assessments across a variety of projects to an advanced standard. Proven ability to act independently, under own initiative while supervising other members of the team. Strongly sector aware with excellent networking skills across the field of Radiological Safety nationally. Previous experience in the nuclear sector is essential in addition to the ability to undertake occasional travel to internal NNL sites and external customer sites.
